Stage
The city lacked places enabled for concerts and circus events. The bullring had insufficient seismic specifications due to its construction in the 1940s. That is why the local administration at the time decided to solve this problem by renovating it and at the same time converting it into a multipurpose arena with a partially roof structure. retractable.
Construction
This stage has the first retractable roof in Colombia. The roof consists of two panels of lids that move along the rails at a speed of 4.5 meters per minute taking 3.5 minutes to fully open or close. The system uses DEMAG components (Wheels and Gearmotors) to move the two panels forwards or backwards on a fixed steel structure such as an eyelid to completely close the roof. The fixed ceiling weighs 254,000 kg, and each eyelid weighs 20,000 kg. The diameter of the plaza is 77 meters and the ceiling is 30 meters above ground level.

Stage interior
The configuration of the structure is a main frame that supports the mobile roof and the secondary beams. The main frames consist of two 12-inch top and bottom round tube strings. Temporary mounting columns to assemble the "required superstructures".
